The Concept

Halloween campaigns default to atmosphere — spooky visuals, eerie music, a sense of dread. Hong Kong Disneyland wanted something different. Not a campaign that showed Halloween. One that made you feel like you were already in it — preferably as the villain. The conceptual framework was "GET INTO..." My job was to make that feel physically real.

A camera language built around two deliberate setups — designed to capture the unscripted reactions of real visitors encountering the magic for the first time. The gasp. The laugh. The wide-eyed double-take. Storyboards crafted to find the moments between the moments, because Halloween joy doesn't have one face. Six different films, six different entry points into the same world. All delivered under a turnaround that left no room for anything less than full commitment from the first frame.
